Balsamic Cherry Crostinis

INGREDIENTS:
- Smoked Cheddar Spread:
- 125 gm cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup smoked cheddar, grated
- 1 Tbsp minced shallot
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- Cherries:
- 1 cup BC cherries or in spring and fall, blackberries or raspberries
- 2 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar,
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Crostini:
- Assemble thinly cut, toasted ciabatta rounds, or a collection of whole grain crackers, fruit/nut crisps, etc.

Smoked Cheddar Spread
Mix the cream cheese, smoked cheddar, minced shallot, garlic, and Worcestershire in a bowl with a fork, or use the food processor. -
Cherries
Wash, pit, and halve cherries. Toss with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper. -
Crostini
Assemble ciabatta rounds. Spread crostini with cheese spread and top with cherry halves.
