Spinach and Orzo Salad

This recipe contains nearly all the classic Greek salad ingredients, but has a distinct character of its own because of the orzo and the pureed spinach.
Serves 4.
Can be made into a meal by adding two cans of sardines. The sardines should be added to the top of the salad just before serving.

Greek Parmesan Yogurt Chicken

If there’s an easier way to turn boneless, skinless chicken breasts into a killer, creamy, cheese-topped dinner, we don’t know what it is. This is a Shaw family favourite.

Chicken Cordon Vert

Eaten at L'Acchiardo restaurant in Nice on our "Chasing Picasso" trip to Spain and France

Baked Chicken and Root Vegetables

An easy, but very tasty, one dish wonder. The chicken sits supremely on top, dripping its lovely juices into the vegetables.

Lebkuchen

A favourite Christmas goodie at the Shaw house

Cream of Tomato Soup

A Shaw family classic, modernized from James Beard's Mothers Tomato soup recipe.

Blueberry Arugula Salad with Honey Lemon Dressing

This simple salad is sure to please any palate and is amazingly versatile. Use any type of fruit and change out the fruit and/or nuts according to the season.

Beef and Andouille Stew

It is quite a revelation to realize how different (and better) a stew or chilli can taste when you use cubes of stewing beef instead of ground beef. Beware, of course, that this recipe takes around 2 hours to be ready, rather than 45 minutes.

Lemon Meringue Pie

Margaret's standby recipe for lemon pie

Barley Casserole
