German Pilaf
Another one of our German heritage recipes.

INGREDIENTS:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cups boiling water
- 3 cubes chicken stock
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1½ cups bulgar or cracked wheat
- 1 very large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ cup or more chopped or slivered almonds
- ½ cup or more chopped dried apricots
- ½ cup or more raisons (light)
DIRECTIONS:
- Chop the onion and the garlic. Fry until just transparent in the butter. Mix all of the ingredients in a large baking dish.
- Bake for ½ hour @ 350F, covered with tin foil or a lid.
