Northwoods Red Cabbage Slaw

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 head Red Cabbage
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp crushed garlic or garlic powder
- 1/4 onion, finely chopped
DIRECTIONS:
- Shred half of the cabbage finely and the other half coarsely. Place cabbage in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the oils, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic. Toss the dressing with the shredded cabbage. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2 to 5 days until flavours meld.
- This red cabbage salad and a green salad with a creamy blue cheese dressing are served together as a duo along with garlic cheese bread at the North Woods Inn.
