Wagon Wheel Beef Soup

A healthy soup targetting kids.

1 1/4 cups uncooked wagon wheel pasta
Cooking spray or olive oil
3/4 pound ground round beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cups Mureille's Tomato Sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
2 liters beef broth(we use Campbells)
1 (14-19ounce) can kidney beans, undrained

YIELD: 10, one cup servings

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
  2. Coat a Dutch oven with cooking spray or olive oil; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add meat and onion; cook over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring until it crumbles. Drain.
  3. Return meat mixture to pan; add cooked pasta and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
