French Blueberry Pie

INGREDIENTS:

  • Crust Layer :
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • Creme Layer:
  • 1/2 cup cold 2% milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. Dream Whip
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • Blueberry Layer:
  • 3 c. blueberries, thaw if frozen
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp flour or tapioca flour, mixed with 1/4 c. water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Crust Layer :
    Mix first four ingredients, and press into 8" or 9" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Crumble mixture while warm and press back in pan saving out 1/2 cup crumbs for topping.
  2. Blueberry Layer:
    Cook blueberries with sugar, lemon juice, and flour mixture. Bring to a boil and cook until mixture begins to thicken. Set aside.
  3. Creme Layer :
    Mix Dream Whip powder, sugar, and milk. Add cream cheese, and vanilla and mix at the highest speed of an electric mixer. until peaks form and the mixture is light and fluffy. Spread this mixture on top of the crumbs in pan.
  4. Assembly :
    Put blueberry mixture on top, and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Chill for 12 hours.
