Apple and Almond relish

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 granny Smith apple, peeled and finely died
  • 4 tbsp coarsely chopped toasted almonds
  • 1 tbsp fine chopped fresh chives

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Melt the butter and honey in a small saute pan over medium heat. Add the apple and almonds and cook gently for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool.
  2. When the relish has cooled to room temperature, stir in the chives.
