Italian Vinaigrette

This vinaigrette with an Italian flair is both easy and tasty.

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder or flakes
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
YIELD: 1 cup vinaigrette

  1. Add all ingredients to a jar, place the lid on the jar, and give it a good shake! Alternately, place the ingredients in a medium bowl and use a hand blender to mix it. The dressing tends to stay emulsified longer using this method.
  2. Like all vinegar based dressings, you may need to shake it up again before pouring to eliminate separation.
